橘流寄席文字の家元で、テレビ番組「笑点」の題字で知られる橘右近（たちばなうこん　1903～1995）が収集した、明治から昭和にかけての寄席関係資料。右近は、関東大震災後に衰退した寄席文字を戦後に復興させ、その際過去の寄席ビラを研究するため明治時代の寄席ビラなどを収集した。寄席ビラ、寄席ポスター、三遊亭圓朝古今亭志ん生などの噺家（はなしか）関係資料、寄席関係資料（お囃子の楽器、プログラム、パンフレットなど）など約3,500点に及ぶコレクション。
このうち「集古庵（しゅうこあん）コレクション」は、三遊亭圓朝の遺品を女流音曲師立花家橘之助（たちばなやきつのすけ　1866～1935）が保存し、これを継承した古今亭志ん馬（1889～1961）がさらに千社札等を加えて充実させたものである。
橘右近はこの集古庵コレクションを引き継いだ。
本コレクションは、大阪や東京など都市を中心に栄えた娯楽場の一つである寄席が、明治以降の近代社会の中でどのように興行されていたかを物語る一級資料である。

Materials related to yose vaudeville theaters from the Meiji era to the Shōwa era that were assembled by Tachibana Ukon (1903–1995), who was the head of the Tachibana school of yose-style characters and renowned for his title lettering on the TV show “Shōten.” During the postwar period, Ukon revived the yose-style characters that had once declined after the Great Kantō Earthquake, and at that time, he collected yose flyers in the Meiji era in order to research the past ones. The collection totals some 3,500 items including yose flyers and posters, materials related to story tellers such as Sanyūtei Enchō and Kokontei Shinshō, and those related to yose theaters (musical instruments used for accompaniments, programs, brochures, and so on).
Of such materials, the “Shūkoan collection” is comprised of articles left behind by Sanyūtei Enchō that were preserved by Tachibanaya Kitsunosuke (1866–1935), a female musician, and Kokontei Shimba (1889–1961), who inherited the collection, added senjafuda votive slips and other items to enhance it. Tachibana Ukon took over the Shūkoan collection.
This collection consists of first-class materials indicating how yose theater, which is one of the entertainment venues that flourished mainly in cities such as Osaka and Tokyo, was performed in modern society since the Meiji era.
